Many modelling exercises focus on only one specific model component and evaluate only partially a full modelling cascade. However, in many applications several models are linked with each other. Examples of model cascades can be found in:

  • Apel, H., Thieken, A.H., Merz, B. and Bloschl, G., 2004. Flood risk assessment and associated uncertainty. Natural Hazards And Earth System Sciences, 4(2): 295-308.

  • Krzysztofowicz, R., 2001. The case for probabilistic forecasting in hydrology. Journal of Hydrology, 249(1-4): 2-9.
