Conditions which may lead to Flooding. An Event is, for example, the occurrence in Source terms of one or more Variables such as a particular wave height threshold being exceeded at the same time a specific sea level, or in Receptor terms a particular Flood depth. When defining an Event it can be important to define the spatial extent and the associated duration. Appendix 1 expands upon this definition.
